The Path Of Life

The Path Of Life

Psalms 25:4-5 – Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Dearest Friends – Did you know that the three main enemies to faith are unbelief, facts and reason? If we are standing in faith, believing for the greatest breakthrough in our lives, and God tarries in the situation, it often leads to doubt and unbelief.  We may stand believing for a season, but ultimately will fail and fall away if not rooted and grounded in our faith in God, and our unwavering trust in His love and care of us. We must wait patiently for Him in every situation. His way will always serve us best.

Similarly, you may receive a bad report from the doctor that may cause you great fear and concern. You may have received devastating news concerning your children or your job. Beloved, these are truly  facts in black and white but what does God have to say about these problems and circumstances? He is in complete  control with total awareness and does not consider any predicament we may find ourselves in too difficult. One word from Him and situations and lives are gloriously changed in an instant. One crumb from the Master’s table will be a feast in times of famine.

So what does scripture say about sickness and sorrow? What does scripture say about iniquities and transgressions, our sins and our failures? Scripture says in Isaiah 53:4-5- Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Yes, dear friends, on the cross He bore it all for us. Nothing was overlooked. So today stand in faith. To receive Him fully into our hearts and lives is a setup for a glorious life. Scripture says man chooses his path but the Lord directs his steps (Proverbs 16:9). I don’t know about you, but I want every step I take ordered by my God. I want to venture out each day in confidence, being all I can be in Christ Jesus, knowing God is ordering every step, giving His angels charge over us lest we fall.  And yes, if we fall, where is God then? He is right there to pick us up, dust us off, give us a big hug, send us right back out. Our failures and shortcomings do not deter His love and care of His children.

Precious ones, we can reason things out all day every day and never come to a peaceful solution or maintain a healthy body. For reasoning in a sense has torment in that it falls short of what is really needed. In reasoning as to why one is ill, why there is such adversity in life, and so much suffering in the world around us, in our humanness we fall short of an adequate answer. But faith transcends reason. Godly faith, complete and total abandonment of doubt and despair, absolutely standing in faith for a miracle or positive change in circumstances, forgiveness that is complete and truly sets the soul  free, this is overcoming faith. Overcoming faith is standing our ground and not letting anything negative be spoken out of our mouths in spite of how things may look in the natural. For ultimately our help comes from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth, and nothing is too  difficult for our God.

If we believe truly that our help comes from the Lord and Him alone, then despite a possible evil report of any kind in your life or the lives of your family and loved ones,  we can know that with God all things are possible.  Dear ones, if God be for us, who can be against  us? The path  God chooses for us is a path of victorious living, a path that leads us deeper and deeper into the things of God until the things of this world that we once thought were so needful and important somehow just fall and fade away.

The peace and comfort God sends into our lives will far outweigh the work and worry we put ourselves through trying to figure every thing out. We can choose the best options from our list of choices, and run with that at times, never stopping to consider that if it is not the path God has chosen for us, it will basically be unfruitful and unproductive, and worst of all it will not be fulfilling.  If what you choose in life is not fulfilling to you and you find you are unable to produce spiritual fruit in any way, let God take control of your situation. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Got fruit? If not then humble yourself under His mighty hand and in due time He will lift you up. For He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think. There is no limit to His love, peace, joy, provision, and help. And He is there to help when the enemy is too strong for you.

My dear friends – take a leap of faith today. If your life is lacking and miserable, ask God to direct your steps. In total submission to His will, allowing Him to love you and lead you in a letting-go kind of way you might have avoided for the most part, you will see a greater purpose in your life, a higher calling, and most definitely provision for the journey, for where God guides, God provides.

These words of inspiration are to reiterate that life is is a journey with God, a walk of faith for a lifetime, sticking with Him through the good times and bad times, just looking for and hastening to His glorious appearing when we can thank Him personally for bringing us home safe. This journey will have it’s trials and tests, it’s hard times and dark times, but if the Light of God lives in your heart, you’ll never have to lose your way or feel alone again.

If you don’t know this Jesus, take a moment and ask Him into your heart. Turn from your old broken down path that has taken you nowhere, and the works of the flesh that have so worn you out. This is called repentance. For  He’s got a gloriously victorious plan for your life, richly fulfilling, and by faith in Jesus, a new life can be yours today. Consider the path you are on today. Has your spiritual journey been fulfilling or disappointing.  Is it leading to life or destruction? Which path will you choose? God is just a prayer away.

In His Love,

Soul Glow

Psalm 40:5 – Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Dearest Friends – We all have but one life to live, how will we live it? The choice is ours each day. We can get up with anticipation of a glorious day or have a defeated attitude before our feet even touch the floor. We can speak with positive words, encouraging words, and share the love of God, or we can flood our atmosphere with negative energy simply by choosing to speak discouraging words born of negative thoughts. It is my prayer that these words of inspiration will motivate you this day to determine to have a glorious life and be all you can be through faith in Jesus. May these inspiration words be a light shining on every reader, perhaps my own soul glow, showing that God is love and life can truly be beautiful but it does not happen without right choices, ordering our conversation aright, and above all right thinking.

Scripture says in Psalms 118:24 – This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Beloved, if it is a day the Lord made, it must be good, how can we not but rejoice? Yes, another day to see the sunshine again, another day to help our brother or save a lost soul, is a day to rejoice and be glad. Even in sorrow and turmoil, with God’s help, we will be able to see the bright side and rejoice. Be joyful for the opportunity to seek the Lord, to serve Him and to share His love today. We are not promised tomorrow, dear ones, life is to be lived to the fullest today. What you leave behind is not what is engraved on a stone monument, but what is woven into the lives of others. Have a positive affect on someone’s life today (Timothy Davis).

A recent Facebook post by Timothy Davis also stated “You’ve got a lot of choices in life to pick from. If getting out of bed in the morning with a frown on your face is one of them, pick again!! No worries!!” Yes, a beautiful day or a beautiful life is not found in the abundance of material goods we acquire, the success we achieve, or worldly fame. A beautiful day and a positive outlook are blossoms of the budding good attitude we chose this morning on arising. The blessings in life that carry us through are the blessings we find in serving others. There is just something about giving of ourselves to help others, putting others’ needs before our own, that creates in us a feeling of satisfaction, an overwhelming feeling of peace and serenity.  The quality of each precious day we are given depends largely on how we allow our light to shine before men. The light we allow to shine before men is the essence of who we are, it is a soul glow if you will. This light can show not only the  path you are on but can beckon the way to others that have perhaps gotten disoriented in their darkness or distress. Thus, your light is a priceless treasure, my friends, when used to edify others.

Scripture says in Psalms 107:8 & 9 – Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. If you get up in the morning counting your blessings you will be amazed at the difference it makes. If you arise with a song of praise on your lips, a prayer in your heart, a thankful attitude coupled with a grateful spirit, you will bless all you meet. Your life will be as a beacon shining on a hilltop, a lighthouse in troubled seas. People around you will see the glow of the Spirit on your face, the love of Jesus will permeate every aspect of your life, and they will want this for their own lives. The joy of the Lord will be your strength and each day will be seen as another opportunity to walk in faith and victory, to do all as unto the Lord.

In His Love,

Words Of Inspiration | Jesus,The Name Above All Names

Of Things In Heaven

Philippians 2:9-11 – Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the father.

Beloved, there is a name which is above every name, of  things in heaven and things on earth. That name is a name to which every knee must bow, and a name that takes precedence over sickness, pain, relational failures, addictions, lack of any kind, depression and despair, and yes, dear ones, even hopelessness. This name is Jesus, the Son of God. This Jesus was God come  to earth in the form of a man but He went to the cross and was  crucified for you and for me that we might become the righteousness of God through Him. He could have called down legions of angels to deliver Him from this ultimate sacrifice, but because of His great love for us, He suffered the crucifixion. And now through His life, death and resurrection we can proclaim that by His stripes we are healed and we have been reconciled to God.

Scripture says in Acts 4:12 – Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Jesus is the door to salvation, He is your Saviour. Jesus is the great physician, He is your Healer. Jesus is the Wonderful Counselor, give Him your broken mind. Jesus is Your peace, rest in Him today. Yes, Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Let Him be your help and hope wherever you are on your spiritual journey.

What do you have need of today? Is there an impossible-looking situation looming over your life? Was the report you just received from the doctor more than you can bear? Are your relationships in shambles with pain at every turn? Have you lost your way or given up entirely? I say of a truth, Jesus is the answer for every need, no matter how desperate it may seem, or how long the suffering. These words of inspiration are for you this very moment. These words of encouragement are divinely inspired and sent from my heart to yours if you are  hurting or in distress of any kind. If you don’t know Jesus, the Savior, might you take a moment to acquaint yourself with Him. Ask Him to come into your heart, to forgive your sins, and be the Lord of your life. Once you do this, you are on the path of the greatest adventure of your life. For scripture says in Romans 8:31-32 – What shall we then say to these things, If God be for us, who can be against us: 32 He that spared not his own son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Yes, it’s a beautiful passage of scripture, a powerful promise for sure, but you must meditate on the keyword condition of verse 32 which is “with him”. You must by faith accept Jesus as your Saviour. His sacrifice for us is a gift given freely but you must receive it into your life personally. You must by faith trust in Him to do all He has promised and allow Him to work out the good plan He has for your life. Life will always have problems, pain and suffering, but with Jesus as your Saviour, He will make a way where there seems no way, and by His grace He will see you through.

My friends, an intimate, loving  relationship with Jesus, our Lord, is a journey to last a lifetime. Please understand it is a relationship that must be cultivated and nurtured. He wants us to fellowship with Him through prayer. He wants us to learn of Him through reading of His word. He wants us to enjoy our journey with Him, to give love and receive love, and above all, to share our testimony to the world around us of how He saved us and all He’s brought us through. Scripture says nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of Christ (Romans 8:35), and that even to our old age He will carry us (Isaiah 46:4). Trust in Him, live for Him, rejoice over Him. Wake up in the morning with a new song of praise and worship in your heart. His word says He sets the solitary in families (Psalms 68:6), are you lonely today? His word says He gives strength and power to His people (Psalms 68:35), are you feeling weak and out of control? Whatever your need this day, dear ones, His word says in Psalms 68:19 – Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Be blessed this day and keep the faith.

In His Love,

Words Of Inspiration | The Joy Of The Lord

Romans 8:13 – Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Dearest Friends – Today’s words of inspiration and words of encouragement are all about joy. How many of us are actually experiencing this “joy of the Lord” in today’s society? But never has there been a  better time in recent history when real joy, the joy that comes only from knowing God, needs to be put on display. It is a small word, three letters, and yet it’s implication in our lives, and especially our love walk, is huge. For it is impossible to have joy without first knowing in our hearts the true God and Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the cross.

There are things in life that bring a passing joy, things of this world, material goods, etc., but this joy is fleeting. When the new wears off the joy is usually gone as well and we are searching for a new and better experience. But true joy, the joy that comes from being yielded to the Lord, submissive and trusting, imparts a strength to us that will carry us through, when in the natural we may be tempted to collapse and give up. Scriptures says count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations, when numerous things come against you, or when failure seems your lot for the moment. For this trial of your faith is working patience in your life, and once patience has her perfect work you find yourself perfect and entire, wanting nothing (James 1:2-4).  It’s hard to grasp this concept until we realize that no chastening (Godly correction) for the moment seems a reason for joy but afterwards it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness (Hebrews 12:11). And is not this peaceable fruit of righteousness a most desired prize, a favored state of being.

Scripture says the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Meditate for a moment on that thought. Experientially I have found that just knowing God is for me, knowing He is fighting battles for me, knowing He is standing beside me at all times, absolutely resting in Him and His provision for me is cause for joy. It renews my energy, which in the natural may be running low. I may not jump up and go run a marathon but I can continue on my spiritual journey with confidence and Godly refreshing knowing I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).

There are seasons in our lives when mourning is appropriate and grief must be expressed such as the passing of our loved ones. There are times in our lives when sorrow and pain seem the only path when we find ourselves rejected or abused. But these are seasons only and with God’s help and the comfort of the Holy Spirit we must not remain in this state constantly, or for a very prolonged period of time, but allow God to carry us through to a brighter day.

We are a society of making excuses and passing the buck rather than taking responsibility for the condition of our lives. But I find every excuse falls away when one searches the Word of God, for in His Word we find grace to help in time of need. Scripture says the Lord will give us the oil of joy for mourning (Isaiah 61:3); we shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace (Isaiah 55:12);  they that sow in tears shall reap in joy (Psalms 126:5); A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it (Proverbs 15:23)! Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon my high places (Habakkuk 3:18-19).

So be encouraged today! Let the joy of the Lord be your strength. Anchor your soul in His care. Rest in His love. Wait patiently for Him and He will give you the desires of your heart.

The grace of our Lord be with you all.

In His Love And God Bless Each Of You!

Words Of Inspiration | What Wondrous Love

1

Open Thou Mine Eyes To Behold

Psalms 119:27 – Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

Dear Friends – These words of inspiration and words of encouragement are written today to proclaim  it is an amazing  time to be alive in the Lord. It is a glorious moment in the history of mankind. Look around you and take in God’s Wondrous Love to His people. There are so many distractions that draw us away from the rest our God calls us to, and yet His arms remain outstretched to us. His Spirit still speaks to our hearts and enriches our lives with the greatest and purest form of love. We have only to look around  us to see the many opportunities to share love with a hurting world. And what a Wondrous Love we have been given without measure.

There are three types of love given to us by God.  These include eros – physical love, philios – brotherly love, and above all there is agape – unconditional self-less love. God’s love for us is agape but God IS love and all love is of God.  To share God’s love is to share yourself, and to share yourself is to invest in another’s life, another’s turmoil, another’s pain.  To invest in another’s life is to become vulnerable, yet this should not deter our ministry of love and exhortation, for in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us (Romans 8:37). Yes we weep with them that do weep, but we also rejoice with them that rejoice. For you see,  to share God’s love is also richly rewarding in that we become a partaker of another’s joy, another’s miracle, and receive love and strength in giving of ourselves, allowing our God to work through us in meeting the needs of others.

God’s love is such a powerful force it cannot be contained in our self-made boxes. God’s love is such a river of life we cannot hold back the flow of it in any fashion. God’ s love is such a contagious, magnetic love that once we are acquainted with Him we can not help but to magnify Him in every area of our lives. Such beauty it creates in every aspect of our being, a transformation of the heart of man for which there is nothing to compare. And God is not willing that any should perish but that ALL would receive this love and eternal life through His Son Jesus (2 Peter 3:9).

Scripture says in Romans 8:38-39- For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39-Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Read and reread that scripture and let it be written on the tablets of your heart, commit it to memory. The scripture is an itemized list but the bottom line is that NOTHING and NO THING can come between us and the love God has for us.  If you ever have feelings that God does not love you, or that God has somehow forgotten you, do not receive that false notion, for God’s word proclaims He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

To always be conscious of this great love, the gift it is to us, and the unending mercy and glorious grace by which Jesus delivered it to us, dear ones, should encourage us to rise up and receive His love today. You are most special to God. You have a special place in this world. You are absolutely unique in your gifts and talents. You are absolutely unique in your circumstances, perhaps your needs or desires. Beloved, don’t throw away your confidence which has great recompense of reward (Hebrews 10:35).

God wants to use you and bless you in ways you would have never expected. He not only wants to show you this Wondrous Love and give you a personal experience with Him, He also wants you to let His river of life begin to flow through you, for only in letting it flow can you be an example of true love and it’s transforming power. Let His Spirit’s anointing in your life make you a blessing to others. Let your uniqueness and all that is “you” become a beacon of hope to those around you. There are people in your life and circumstances that only you can reach. Believe it, receive it and share this Wondrous Love in ways that only you can. If you live love by example you shall reap a bountiful reward.

The grace of our Lord be with you all.

In His Love And God Bless Each Of You!

Overcoming Fear And Worry

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Dear Friends – The Lord has been dealing with me about fear and worry, two of the biggest downfalls in my life. Perhaps He has been dealing with you as well. These two emotions are deceptive and destructive at best. When we are afraid we feel God cannot take care of us, or will not be there for us for some reason. When we worry, we again are afraid God is not able to protect us or bring us out in times of trial. Both are negative responses in life, and as I read this morning, an entrance, an open door if you will, for the enemy to convince us we’re not going to make it. In my studies though I have learned that if we are resisting fear and professing our faith, that is honoring God. If we are choosing not to worry, even though our circumstances may not be changing, that is honoring God. Beloved, we will feel the emotion of fear but  it is not from God for scripture tells us that God has not given us the Spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. And who can add or take away anything in his life by worrying? It only ages us more quickly and weakens our faith.  So choose this day to resist fear and worry. Choose this day to believe  God and all His good and precious promises. He will draw close to you as you draw close to Him, and in this more intimate relationship with Him fear and worry will cease to be the stumbling blocks in our lives we have allowed them to become.

God Bless!
