The Path Of Life

The Path Of Life

Psalms 25:4-5 – Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Dearest Friends – Did you know that the three main enemies to faith are unbelief, facts and reason? If we are standing in faith, believing for the greatest breakthrough in our lives, and God tarries in the situation, it often leads to doubt and unbelief.  We may stand believing for a season, but ultimately will fail and fall away if not rooted and grounded in our faith in God, and our unwavering trust in His love and care of us. We must wait patiently for Him in every situation. His way will always serve us best.

Similarly, you may receive a bad report from the doctor that may cause you great fear and concern. You may have received devastating news concerning your children or your job. Beloved, these are truly  facts in black and white but what does God have to say about these problems and circumstances? He is in complete  control with total awareness and does not consider any predicament we may find ourselves in too difficult. One word from Him and situations and lives are gloriously changed in an instant. One crumb from the Master’s table will be a feast in times of famine.

So what does scripture say about sickness and sorrow? What does scripture say about iniquities and transgressions, our sins and our failures? Scripture says in Isaiah 53:4-5- Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Yes, dear friends, on the cross He bore it all for us. Nothing was overlooked. So today stand in faith. To receive Him fully into our hearts and lives is a setup for a glorious life. Scripture says man chooses his path but the Lord directs his steps (Proverbs 16:9). I don’t know about you, but I want every step I take ordered by my God. I want to venture out each day in confidence, being all I can be in Christ Jesus, knowing God is ordering every step, giving His angels charge over us lest we fall.  And yes, if we fall, where is God then? He is right there to pick us up, dust us off, give us a big hug, send us right back out. Our failures and shortcomings do not deter His love and care of His children.

Precious ones, we can reason things out all day every day and never come to a peaceful solution or maintain a healthy body. For reasoning in a sense has torment in that it falls short of what is really needed. In reasoning as to why one is ill, why there is such adversity in life, and so much suffering in the world around us, in our humanness we fall short of an adequate answer. But faith transcends reason. Godly faith, complete and total abandonment of doubt and despair, absolutely standing in faith for a miracle or positive change in circumstances, forgiveness that is complete and truly sets the soul  free, this is overcoming faith. Overcoming faith is standing our ground and not letting anything negative be spoken out of our mouths in spite of how things may look in the natural. For ultimately our help comes from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth, and nothing is too  difficult for our God.

If we believe truly that our help comes from the Lord and Him alone, then despite a possible evil report of any kind in your life or the lives of your family and loved ones,  we can know that with God all things are possible.  Dear ones, if God be for us, who can be against  us? The path  God chooses for us is a path of victorious living, a path that leads us deeper and deeper into the things of God until the things of this world that we once thought were so needful and important somehow just fall and fade away.

The peace and comfort God sends into our lives will far outweigh the work and worry we put ourselves through trying to figure every thing out. We can choose the best options from our list of choices, and run with that at times, never stopping to consider that if it is not the path God has chosen for us, it will basically be unfruitful and unproductive, and worst of all it will not be fulfilling.  If what you choose in life is not fulfilling to you and you find you are unable to produce spiritual fruit in any way, let God take control of your situation. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Got fruit? If not then humble yourself under His mighty hand and in due time He will lift you up. For He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think. There is no limit to His love, peace, joy, provision, and help. And He is there to help when the enemy is too strong for you.

My dear friends – take a leap of faith today. If your life is lacking and miserable, ask God to direct your steps. In total submission to His will, allowing Him to love you and lead you in a letting-go kind of way you might have avoided for the most part, you will see a greater purpose in your life, a higher calling, and most definitely provision for the journey, for where God guides, God provides.

These words of inspiration are to reiterate that life is is a journey with God, a walk of faith for a lifetime, sticking with Him through the good times and bad times, just looking for and hastening to His glorious appearing when we can thank Him personally for bringing us home safe. This journey will have it’s trials and tests, it’s hard times and dark times, but if the Light of God lives in your heart, you’ll never have to lose your way or feel alone again.

If you don’t know this Jesus, take a moment and ask Him into your heart. Turn from your old broken down path that has taken you nowhere, and the works of the flesh that have so worn you out. This is called repentance. For  He’s got a gloriously victorious plan for your life, richly fulfilling, and by faith in Jesus, a new life can be yours today. Consider the path you are on today. Has your spiritual journey been fulfilling or disappointing.  Is it leading to life or destruction? Which path will you choose? God is just a prayer away.

In His Love,

Words Of Inspiration | On Hopelessness and Despair

The Desert Shall Rejoice and Blossom

Isaiah 35:1-2a – The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing…

Dearest Friends – These words of inspiration are to bless you today with a renewed hope in Christ. The words of encouragement are to motivate you to reach out to the loving and secure arms of God and allow His love and great grace to minister to you and renew your strength this day. If  you are in a desert place in life rejoice, for with God that desert place shall blossom as the rose. If you are in despair, turn your heart toward heaven and call on God. In Isaiah 33:2b God’s word proclaims He will be our arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble. Beloved, He will strengthen your weak hands and make firm your feeble knees (Isaiah 35:3). In the natural you may not feel the ability to stand in your circumstances. Your heart may be fearful in your desert place with much sorrow and sighing, but believe today that our God will come and save you. When His Spirit is poured out upon you your wilderness will become a fruitful field and the fruitful field counted as a forest (Isaiah 32:15b).

If you are feeling hopelessness and overwhelmed by despair, from my heart to yours, I stand in the gap for you and with you in your negative circumstances. My prayer is that these words of inspiration will reveal the truth of God’s great goodness and willingness to intervene on our behalf, and that you would come to know of a certainty that you can find grace to help in time of need through Jesus, our Lord.

Dear ones, it is always my intention to encourage and inspire, but to have an intimate relationship with God through Jesus, to know Him and allow His glory to shine through us, is a personal commitment, a personal choice each of us must ultimately make in life. I can only share the depths of  pain in and of my own life’s experiences with hopelessness and despair, and with what great grace He brought me out into the glorious light of His Love. It is a process, and a process that is often not without pain. For when we submit to God and allow Him to refine us and burn away all that is of no use to us in our love walk with him, this is often uncomfortable at best and perhaps painful at the very least.

There are moments of instant deliverance in circumstances. There are times a word comes from God, a rhema word, a fresh word from heaven, that changes everything and turns a bad situation into a glorious experience quite instantaneously. And I praise God for these “instant” moments of deliverance. But I know too that the greater the suffering, the greater the blessing. And for me it has been my experience that the greater the suffering, the greater the blessing; the greater the suffering, the sweeter the writing. So allow God to ransom you, obtain joy and gladness through Jesus today, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away (Isaiah 35:10b).

In His Love And God Bless Each Of You!

Words Of Inspiration/Receiving The Crown Of Life

Being Faithful In Adversity

James 1:12 - Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him.

Job 23:10 - But he knoweth the way that I take: when he has tried me I shall come forth as gold.

Beloved – May these words of inspiration bless you, and the words of encouragement be a motivating factor in your life this moment as we reach deeper together into the things of Christ. For all of us that try to live faithful in Christ Jesus there will be trial and test. When trials and temptations arise in James 1:2 the Bible says to count it all joy.  This seems the reverse of how we react to trials and temptations in this life.  But the trying of our faith works patience and if we let patience have her perfect work we will be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.  Often in times of crisis and hardship we just don’t know what to do or how to best handle the situation.  In James 1:5-6 God’s word says if any man lack wisdom let him ask of God who gives to us liberally and is no respecter of persons.  If you ask in faith, believing He is able and willing, His wisdom will be shed abroad in your heart.  If we remain faithful in the hard times, trusting God to care for us and bring us through, looking to Him for wisdom in the situation we shall receive most bountifully from God.  His word says in James 3:17-18 that the wisdom that is from God is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits.  God is eager to assist us.  He is eager to help us.  He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).  If His word tells us to be still and know that He is God in Psalms 46:10a, then we can entreat (earnestly beseech) His mercy to deliver us from any of the fiery darts of the enemy and trust that He is faithful who promised.

Many times in my own experiences when I have earnestly sought the Lord’s answer, the Lord’s help, more often than not, the answer was not readily apparent, or the answer seemed the reverse of what I had prayed for.  But in standing firm, believing that what He sends is best, I have received not only my answer but it has come in the form of a very special gift, all wrapped up in love and tied with wisdom, as every good and perfect gift comes down from God.  It comes to me in ways I could not have even prayed for as we seldom see the situation from all sides.

The same is true though for “unanswered prayer”. We don’t understand at times why God delays or denies seemingly innocent requests, but later in life we are usually shown how wrong our request was and with what love He protected us from harm or further distress. Of course I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the times He gave me exactly what I prayed for exactly as I prayed for it, almost demanding He come through my way, and I have lived to regret it. But even in those times I have taken the experience and used it to grow in my faith and trust in Him. Those experiences have shown me He is a faithful and loving God and His way will always serve us best. It truly becomes a work of patience and He knows what we need before we even ask and He will do only what is best for us. Again dear child, it is His good pleasure to give us the Kingdom.

In His Love And God Bless Each Of You!

Words Of Inspiration And Encouragement/Glory To His Name

On Grace And Glory

Psalm 84:11 - For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

May these words of inspiration reach deep into your heart today on your spiritual journey and remind you that in Jesus all things are possible. May these words of encouragement reveal to you what a gift God’s grace really is to us.

Grace is defined as the undeserved, unmerited favor of God. That means there is nothing we can do to deserve it, there is nothing we can do to earn it. It is not what we do but what Jesus did at the cross that allows grace into our lives. Glory is defined as the condition of highest achievement, splendor, prosperity, worshipful adoration, etc. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus, not of ourselves, it is the gift of God. Oh what an awesome God this must be! First He saves us through faith in His son, then He fills us with all the splendor, prosperity, radiant beauty and honor we will allow Him to. Yes, He gives us His beauty for our ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3).

Dear friend – there is nothing in your life today that can’t be touched by the hand of God and changed from glory to glory and from grace to grace. No good thing will He withhold from them that are trusting in His grace and mercy, believing that through faith in His Son, Jesus, all good things are not only possible but probable. Yes, blessed is the man that is trusting in Jesus for the name of Jesus is above every name whether it be sickness, poverty, depression, whatever you might be facing this day, everything must bow to that name. Beloved, it is God which works in us both to will and to do His good pleasure (Philippians 2: 9-13). And it is His good pleasure to give us the Kingdom.

And if we know that we are saved by this marvelous grace, and He longs to bless us and fill us with His love and passion for life, let us not tarry in negative circumstances. Let us rise up and be healed and blessed that we might in turn be a blessing to others. There are so many people in the world who are hurting, lonely, lost and broken in some way. Take hold the hand of Jesus and step out of your negative situation. Take up your sick bed and walk, walk right out into a world just waiting for a good word, a positive message, a real and lasting hope, and a heartfelt compassion for our fellow human beings in whatever state they may be in. Yes, Jesus is all we need to be the best we can be. And a prayer in His name can bring about positive change to our own lives and to those around us.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is really a simple message but it has the power to transform lives and circumstances far above anything we could have hoped or imagined. Say a prayer and take these thoughts with you today that through Jesus you can do all things because He will strengthen you, and through Jesus life can be not just a spiritual journey but an adventure to last not just in this life but in the life to come. It is my prayer that these words of encouragement and words of inspiration have done just that. Encouraged you in the true love and tender care of our Lord, and inspired you to trust Him above all else in life or life’s circumstances for no good thing will He withhold from us.

God Bless!

Inspirational Article

A Light Unto My Path

Isaiah 60:1 - Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

Dearest Reader – Have you ever had times when you did not know what to do, times when you felt completely lost and alone? Everyone has moments in life that they question their purpose in life, moments they question why they are here and what are they doing? But let me encourage you today – your life is more important than you realize. Your life is a gift from God. Your life is filled with divine destiny and awesome possibilities.

In Psalm 119:105 God tells us His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. His word is filled with love and light, filled with encouragement and strength, and filled with wisdom for every circumstance in our life. In Isaiah 58:11 His word says the Lord will guide us continually. That means no matter what our circumstances, no matter where we find ourselves, our God is guiding us. Think about having a lamp about your feet so that you never miss a step, and having a light shining about your path to assist you in finding your way more clearly. Perhaps in your circumstances it has not been that cut and dried. At the fork in the road you may feel you took a wrong turn. But be encouraged today. In Isaiah 55:12 God’s word says we shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. If the Spirit of God is leading you today you will know it by the peace you have concerning your situation. If you’re stressed and in turmoil it might be time to take a step back and reevaluate your life. Changes can always be made. What the enemy meant for your harm God can and will use it for good

Let me reiterate though that in this life we will have tribulation – meaning every uncomfortable circumstance or unhappy experience may not be because we are on the wrong path or that we made a bad choice. We must remember that tribulation worketh patience, and patience, experience, and experience, hope, and hope maketh not ashamed (Romans 5:3-5). God can and will redeem our lives from distress and destruction if we are trusting in Him, and His word says they that trust in the Lord shall not be ashamed or desolate.

Child of God rejoice today that God is still upon His throne and is able to guide you into all truth, to lead you with His peace, and to strengthen you with His joy. We often times don’t realize how much we need Him until He is all we have, and then we find He is more than enough. Take a moment to ponder where you are, where you want to be, and let the vision unfold inside your heart of all that you can be in Christ Jesus, our Lord. His word says He is faithful who promised. He will guide you with His eye (Psalm 32:8) and with His counsel (Psalm 73:24). In this world we will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33).

God Bless!

Personal Declaration For The New Year

Jesus is Lord over my life and my circumstances. Whether He comes and heals me, delivers me from overwhelming circumstances, or gives me a breakthrough, He’s still Lord, and the same God that is Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. I am calling upon Him today, my Jesus, my Lord, believing for strength, for Godly wisdom, for direction for my life, my purpose here, a REMA word, a fresh word from heaven. Stirring the gifts, lighting a fire. Sorrow has endured long enough and joy is coming THIS morning. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Jesus paid it all at the cross. I am loved and accepted by God. My life and struggles matter to Him. Live or die, God is faithful in every circumstance and He will take care of me when no one else will. He will make a way for me this day to experience His love, to begin a love walk and ministry I never dreamed possible. It starts with me, in my heart, and is so big and wonderful I must needs share it with a hurting world.

Beloved – I invite you to declare this over your own life and to discover just how big our God really is. If your life needs a change or you just want more in this New Year than you experienced last year, declare it, then come back and post your testimony of God’s faithfulness on this blog page.

God Bless!

Praise and Thanksgiving

Psalms 69:30 – I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

Dearest Friends – Thanksgiving has recently passed and the season of Christmas is rapidly approaching.  Christmas is a time of giving, giving of ourselves, our time, our gifts and love, to all we are acquainted with and especially those we are not. We have so much to be thankful for, so much we can share. Each day before you hurry off to work or get busy with daily chores, take a moment to praise our God for His very special gift of Jesus to us. We often forget what this season represents but without Jesus there would be no celebration, no songs declaring peace on earth and goodwill to men. Christmas is a time to look inside our hearts and pull out our very best as our special gift, first back to God for His infinite goodness, and then to our fellow man.

So may the Lord bless each of you, may His face shine upon you, may the love He sends your way be shared with all this Holiday Season. A very Merry Christmas to all and a most prosperous New Year from my heart to yours.

God Bless!

Inspirational Poem/The Weary Traveler

Posted by Lynda Davis | Posted in Inspirational | Posted on 04-10-2009

Dear Friends – I was up in the night, unable to sleep, when the Lord laid this poem on my heart.  It is comforting to me to know that when I’m not sure where I am, God always knows, for our loving God neither slumbers nor sleeps.  So it is my prayer this early morning that the poem was a word for some other weary traveler on his or her spiritual journey of life.  May it richly bless you and bring you peace.

I don’t know why You love me but I’m certain that You do.
I only see the good in me when I look up to You.
The choices that I make in life, the paths I daily trod,
Only serve to lead me closer to the throne of God.
For only when I walk with You and let Your Spirit lead,
Do I find any peace at all, or comfort that I need.
So when the way seems dark and cold and I seem to be lost,
I only have to raise my eyes and look unto the cross.
For Jesus died for even me, there is no greater love.
And now from heaven’s heights He calls me to His home above.

God Bless!
