His Eye Is On The Sparrow

Psalms 139:10 –Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

THE MASTER’S HANDS

The Master’s hands, so tender, yet, in strength they hold the earth.

They reach out, touch and heal our wounds, and lead us to rebirth.

In sorrow those hands carry us, in pain with stroke so precious.

The Master’s hands hold all our cares, give strength that does refresh us.

I know those hands will carry me and safely lead me home –

Where I shall reach and touch those hands that claimed me for His own.

And as I touch them, feel the warmth of love that brought me o’er –

I’ll lift my hands and praise Him, sing with angels evermore.

Dear Friends – Recently I witnessed a  little bird fall to the ground. It seemed as if its wing was broken. I watched the little bird writhing in seeming pain. It’s head was thrown back as if it was gasping for air and it seemed for all intents and purposes to be dying. I was so stirred with emotion in that moment. I stretched my hand out toward that little bird and just prayed for God to intervene and send healing.

I walked away and just sat some distance away thinking of what I had just witnessed and why my soul was so stirred into action. In about five minutes I walked back over to check on the bird and he flew up into the trees. I felt as if I had just witnessed the hand of God reach down and heal one of His own little creatures and I was reminded of the song “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” and realized what it truly means. For if God cares for the sparrows and sees everyone that falls, as scripture tells us, how much more He cares for His children.

Your life may be in turmoil right now. Your situation and circumstances may seem hopeless. You may be despairing and distraught. But God is aware of your needs and His eye is watching you even now. Perhaps you have others praying for you and praying with you. You may be among the fortunate that have family and friends around, people that truly love you and truly assist in any way they can. But if you are alone in your suffering, take heart. God said He would never leave us or forsake us. He instructs us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us. He is concerned if you feel you have “crashed and burned”. For all you may feel is wrong in your life, He has a list of all that is right, for His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts, as scripture says.

Often, some of the most devastating and painful moments in life are used by God for great things in our lives, those over-the-top things we could have never expected. More often than not what we consider an absolute disaster with no way out, is just an opportunity for God to do His greatest work, an opportunity for God to touch not only our personal lives, but the lives of those around us, all for the glory of God and to accomplish a greater good. And the more you yield your painful circumstances, your “crash and burn” moments, your “I can’t go on another minute” moments, the more He reveals Himself to you and the more strengthened you begin to feel. His word says to draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. He meets you just where you are, just as you are. As scripture tells us, if God be for you who can be against you?

Yes, I saw the hand of God reach down and rescue a little bird and I was reminded of how much God is in control of His Universe. I witnessed in nature His tenderness and His unfailing love, and perhaps it was just what I needed that day, a gentle reminder that He’s right there with us in the everydayness of our lives, the trials, tribulations, tragedies, and victories. These words of inspiration are given to you as a reminder of the same. These words of encouragement are fresh from the Spirit, so know, dear ones, He is caring for you.

Look for Him in even the most trivial and/or unexpected circumstances. See His hands at work and feels His presence in your life. Be encouraged and have faith that He loves you. Begin to see Him in the beauty of nature and know that if He reached down and saved a little bird, how much more is He willing to touch your life and your circumstances with healing, with provision, with salvation, with His peace and His love of which there is no end. He gave us His son, Jesus, our  Supreme Sacrifice, that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Yes beloved, our God is in all things all around us every day. A miracle is waiting to be witnessed just as His touch is waiting to be felt. Ask Him into your heart today. Take hold His hand and trust His love, His unending mercy and grace, and His undying care for you for nothing is too difficult for our God.

In His Love,

Jesus’ Love

Psalms 18:46 – The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

TRULY BLESSED

Let My Light flood darkened mind.

In My Love release you’ll find.

Let My touch heal brokenness,

patiently with gentleness.

Rise above the sin and strife.

Feel the new abundant life.

Dream the biggest dreams you dare,

and find I’m always, ever there.

Soar with Me to heights unknown

and step out of your comfort zone.

Let faith surround your inmost heart

and know the joy True Love imparts.

A Rock in times of unsure steps

awaits your call in turmoil’s depths.

A Fortress tall where you can run

and find a shelter from the storm.

Yes, dear child, I’m all of these.

I hear your every desperate plea.

In this one thing you can be sure,

My Love for you will most endure;

My Love for you outshines the rest,

and in My Love you’re truly blessed.

In His Love,

Beauty Fair

Isaiah 61:3 – To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

BEAUTY FOR ASHES

I will take the ashes turn them into beauty fair.I will take your hurting soul and heal it with My care.I will take the weariness from trudging uphill milesand turn it into restfulness with strength for every trial.I will take the saddened face and tears that flow like rainand paint a smile with joyous stroke, in Love allay the pain.I will take confusion’s grasp, put wisdom in its stead, and I will set you free from fear, anxiety and dread.New paths I’ll lead you on and doors I’ll open just for youthat you may know I am the Lord of all you seek to do.I’ll hold your hand, if you’ll allow, if you’ll believe in me.I’ll always walk close by your side, now and eternally. You’ll never have to be alone, we’ll fellowship in prayer.Yes, I, the Lord, have spoken and will keep you in My care. For I’m your Savior, Jesus, and I died that you might live.Call on me in faith and I will all your sins forgive.Your life will be like flakes of snow, no stain or spot to see,For I will cleanse you inside out if you’ll believe in Me.

Words Of Inspiration | Renewing Strength Poem

Rejoice In The Lord

Isaiah 25:8-9 – He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it. 9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

Renewing Strength

So long the wait, but waiting still.

I only want to do God’s will.

Humbly seeking mercy ever.

Turning from Him, I will never.

Loving always, heart’s on fire,

though I wait here in the mire.

God is faithful, grace is sure.

Till He comes I must endure.

Nights are long and bitter cold.

Days of searching as He molds.

For He’s busy all the while,

forming me His loving child.

In furnace hot or lonely stand,

I lovingly reach for His hand.

“Have thine own way”, my earnest cry.

Warmly feel Him drawing nigh.

Binding every wound with care.

Stroking softly heart laid bare.

Breathing life in body limp.

Peace and joy is heaven sent.

Fills the heart and heals the mind.

Thank you, Jesus, for being mine.

Yes they that wait upon the Lord

shall be renewed by just His Word.

So if you’re seeking God above,

He’ll come to you with grace and love.

He’ll lift you up on eagle’s wings.

In heaven’s heights with angels sing.

And as you soar you’ll shout with praise

and thank Him for Amazing Grace!

The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you all!

In His Love,

Inspiration Words Of Encouragement | The Bond Of Brothers

Proverbs 18:24 – A man that hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Scripture says there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. This friend is Jesus. When one considers the closeness of brothers, brothers biologically, brothers in combat, brothers in tragedy, a bond is realized that lasts for a lifetime. This is the bond that Jesus wants to have with each of us. He gave His life to do away with the separation between man and God, to close the chasm, if you will.

He brought us the dispensation of grace, the new covenant, and man never has to feel separated from God anymore. For His grace covers all our sin, past, present and future, and His love is eternal and unconditional. We only have to believe Him and receive Him into our hearts today and as we walk with him and fellowship with Him, faith leads us to our divine purpose and ultimately our heavenly home.

Dear friends-If you don’t know Jesus, I invite  you to take a moment right now and ask him into your heart. Let Him be the Lord of your life, give him first place in everything. You’ll begin a journey to last a lifetime that is full of life and love.

In His Love,

Lynda Signature

Words of Encouragement | Heaven’s Reunion Poem

God’s Light Of Life

Isaiah 26:19 – Yet we have this assurance: Those who belong to God will live; their bodies will rise again! Those who sleep in the earth will rise up and sing for joy! For God’s light of life will fall like dew….

Heaven’s Reunion

When loved ones die there’s so much pain.

Tears cloud the eyes and fall like rain.

You rise each day to greet the sun…

But only sorrow and missing one

You’ve held so close and loved so pure,

And wonder how long you’ll endure.

Your heart’s aware they’re safe with God

As through this life alone you trod.

But memories now are bitter sweet –

You cling to them, for comfort seek.

But tarry not in suffering long.

You’ll meet again with heaven’s throng.

Tenderly you’ll touch the heart

Of one so soon you’ve had to part.

And warm embraces will replace

The loneliness you’ve had to face.

Those tears of joy will freely flow

And once again your heart will know

The love complete you’ve so longed for.

No pain of separation anymore.

Just love and joy for endless days,

With angel choirs in endless praise.

Dear Friends – May these words of encouragement bless your heart today. May these words of inspiration relate to you that you are not alone in your time of sorrow. Accept the love and fellowship of family, friends, and loved ones. And may the God of all comfort comfort your heart this day and give you peace.

In His Love,

Lynda Signature

Words Of Inspiration | How Great Is Our God?

1

Posted by Lynda Davis | Posted in Inspirational | Posted on 29-04-2010

Thinking Outside The Box

Psalms 77:13-14 – Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God. 14 Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou has declared thy strength among the people.

Dear Friends – With God’s help today,  I invite you to think outside the box, just for a moment, and ponder the thought that your emotional pain and frustration may actually be your friend.  The overwhelming pain you have been relentlessly suffering due to circumstances seemingly beyond your control probably have deep and loving messages attached. God often uses the trials and tribulations we endure in our spiritual journey to draw us closer to Him. He wants us to trust Him more, love Him more intimately, and fellowship with Him without reservation. Scripture says in 1 Peter 5:6-7 – Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care  upon him; for he careth for you.  So often we are so burdened and so weary, so distracted by the cares of this world, but that is exactly where God is waiting to meet us. He’s right there with you in the fire awaiting your cry for help. He’s carrying you through the flood, holding your head up when you no longer can. And His words to you are to cast it all on Him. He is able to handle it when we don’t know the way anymore and have not the strength to bear it any longer.

I read this short paragraph by Oswald Chambers and was struck by the absolute truthfulness of the statement, as if God sent a personal word. He says “It is not so true that “prayer changes things” as that prayer changes me and I change things. God has so constituted things that prayer on the basis of Redemption alters the way in which a man looks at things. Prayer is not a question of altering things externally, but of working wonders in a man’s disposition”.- Oswald Chambers. And there it is – truth in its most basic form. For our God does not always come when we call and change our circumstances. In His most loving way and with great tenderness and compassion on us, there are times when He is not out to change things for us but to change the heart and mind in us. When our hearts are broken and calling out to Him in desperation and what we receive seems to be silence, we must think again.  Scripture says in 1 Peter 4:19 – Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. Let this stir your soul, dear ones, and open your heart to His wisdom, His will and His way. For what He chooses for us is ultimately, infinitely better, exceedingly more powerful, and certainly more lasting and beneficial than things we would choose for ourselves.

Think of recurring issues in life that continue to bring us pain and distract us from all the things we could be enjoying. Would it not be more beneficial to allow God to change how we perceive life, situations, and people? This change of heart, or change of mind, or change in perception doesn’t leave us open to the next problem to arise with our weaknesses still intact and thriving. No this change is inside of us, orchestrated by God, and completed by God. The divine wisdom has been received and with joy and a renewed passion we move on, to bigger conquests, greater victories. Yes, precious ones, a change in our disposition will go a lot farther than a change in our external circumstances.

In a fast-food society, we want instant relief or we want it our way. But when God is involved it becomes evident our way leaves us needing more and more fixes, more and more help, and because of His involvement He usually allows us to come to that realization in His time frame and not ours. What great love for man that He would have so much patience with us when we usually have so little for Him.  Scripture says in Isaiah 55:9&11 – For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Think on that for a moment beloved. God doesn’t think like we do, He doesn’t act like we do, but He sends His word and accomplishes what He will, and what He wills will prosper in the situation and brokenness to which He sends it. Established in righteousness? With God it’s possible.

So think outside the box and get a glimpse today of just how big God really is, how great and precious are His promises. Let the painful circumstances in your life lead you to God who is ready to take you on, a special project of sorts, to rebuild, repair and ultimately restore you to all He created you to be. Make Jesus the Lord of your life today. Read His word and receive every bit of its inspiration and encouragement into your life and your circumstances. Set about to stay the course with God and live your life on His time schedule and not  your own. If you want to learn and grow in the things of God His door is always open, His arms are there to welcome you, and the Holy Spirit will come alongside to comfort you. It’s a win-win deal but it can’t be rushed or dictated – only lived out to the ultimate until we all come into the fullness of Christ.

In His Love,

Lynda Signature

Scripture For The Day/I Can Do All Things Through Christ

Overcoming Fear And Worry

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Dear Friends – The Lord has been dealing with me about fear and worry, two of the biggest downfalls in my life. Perhaps He has been dealing with you as well. These two emotions are deceptive and destructive at best. When we are afraid we feel God cannot take care of us, or will not be there for us for some reason. When we worry, we again are afraid God is not able to protect us or bring us out in times of trial. Both are negative responses in life, and as I read this morning, an entrance, an open door if you will, for the enemy to convince us we’re not going to make it. In my studies though I have learned that if we are resisting fear and professing our faith, that is honoring God. If we are choosing not to worry, even though our circumstances may not be changing, that is honoring God. Beloved, we will feel the emotion of fear but  it is not from God for scripture tells us that God has not given us the Spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. And who can add or take away anything in his life by worrying? It only ages us more quickly and weakens our faith.  So choose this day to resist fear and worry. Choose this day to believe  God and all His good and precious promises. He will draw close to you as you draw close to Him, and in this more intimate relationship with Him fear and worry will cease to be the stumbling blocks in our lives we have allowed them to become.

God Bless!

Scripture For The Day/No Weapon Formed Against Me

The Weapon Of Fear

Isaiah 54:17 – No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.

Beloved – The enemy will come against you and his greatest weapon is FEAR. If we rely on our feelings in any given situation we will be tempted to shrink back in fear, fear of failure, fear of loss. But if we stand on God’s word, whatever comes against us will not prosper. To stand on God’s word, to speak positively in any circumstance, to believe when we don’t “feel it” is to combat fear, thus whatever has been formed against us cannot prosper but God will work all things out for our good.

Continue to speak the declaration over your life, continue to believe, and you will see the salvation of the Lord.

God Bless!

Inspirational Poem/The Weary Traveler

Dear Friends – I was up in the night, unable to sleep, when the Lord laid this poem on my heart.  It is comforting to me to know that when I’m not sure where I am, God always knows, for our loving God neither slumbers nor sleeps.  So it is my prayer this early morning that the poem was a word for some other weary traveler on his or her spiritual journey of life.  May it richly bless you and bring you peace.

I don’t know why You love me but I’m certain that You do.
I only see the good in me when I look up to You.
The choices that I make in life, the paths I daily trod,
Only serve to lead me closer to the throne of God.
For only when I walk with You and let Your Spirit lead,
Do I find any peace at all, or comfort that I need.
So when the way seems dark and cold and I seem to be lost,
I only have to raise my eyes and look unto the cross.
For Jesus died for even me, there is no greater love.
And now from heaven’s heights He calls me to His home above.

God Bless!

Inspirational Article/That Still Small Voice Within

Inspirational Article

Ever have moments when you just can’t make a decision?  Are there times when you just aren’t sure which path to choose, which choice would be the best, be it a large or small decision, having little significance or a life-altering decision?  In these fast-paced times we live in being sure you make the right decision is often hectic in and of itself. We can question our motives for a decision.  We can question the rationality of a decision.  We can fret and worry wanting to be absolutely certain we don’t make a mistake in our decision. But a faith-based decision will often be accompanied by that still, small voice within, yes the Lord’s Spirit speaking to us, leading us and guiding us. Our relationship with God through His Son Jesus is based on faith, not a scientific formula or mathematical equation.  Faith is the evidence of things hoped for, the evidence of things NOT seen. So learn to trust that still, small voice within you.  Know that the Lord never leaves us, always guides us, and He is with us wherever we go, whatever decision we make in life, whatever path we choose. If God be for us who can be against us?

God Bless!
