Evening Prayer

James 5:16 – The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Psalms 55:17 – Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

Dearest Friends – When your heart is broken and your mind is in turmoil it is often hard to settle into the posture of prayer. The soul that is wounded by so many of today’s tragedies, lost perhaps in isolation and rejection, may find it unbearable to think of truly quieting the thoughts and focusing on prayer. The thoughts can be racing, screaming for relief, or just be a jumbled mess which seems impossible to control or sort out. But may these words of inspiration truly touch the pain of your life today and somehow relate to you that with God’s help, you can find peace. With God’s help you can be at rest in your situation knowing God is in control and very much aware of your every need.

Beloved, prayer is not something we have to be in a church building to partake of. Prayer is not something reserved for only the purest of sanctuaries or holiest of places. Nor is prayer meant for only the purest of pilgrims or holiest of saints. Prayer is an open line of communication between God and man. When we are facing trial upon trial, heartache upon heartache, He’s there for us, awaiting our call.  If there is pain or pressure in your life, if the oppression is overwhelming, prayer will sustain you. Prayer will see you through if you continue to seek the Lord. Don’t give up. Don’t get weary and turn back. Don’t throw away your confidence when it’s needed most. As in the scripture above, seek Him morning, noon and night. Cry aloud to Him and He will hear your prayers.

Scripture says “whosoever will” may come. That includes you, that includes me, whosoever includes everyone. Yes, we can come boldly before His throne of grace because of the shed blood of Jesus. Scripture says in Hebrews 10:22 – Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. Precious friends, scripture says God hears our cries and is near to all who call upon Him. His understanding is infinite and His greatness is unsearchable. Knowing He’s there for us, knowing He hears our cries, draw near in faith with full assurance that as He has heard your cries, He will help you in time of need.

Prayer to me is a deeply personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus His Son. In trial and tribulation I can talk to God about anything and everything. His shoulders are big enough to handle any issue I may face, or challenges I feel I can’t face. He’s with me for the long haul and most often issues are not resolved overnight. Sometimes trials are prolonged but He is there to give me strength to keep going when I want to give up.  I can fall on my face and humbly be honest in the midst of failure or defeat. I can pace the floor as I reason together with God. I can lift my hands in praise and worship. Or I can sit quietly in times when I don’t know what to say, don’t know what to pray. I only know He’s there, listening, loving, and working something out even if I don’t see it or sense it at that moment.

Scripture says in Psalms 73:28 – But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works. So dear ones, put your trust in God and with confidence draw near to Him in prayer, for this is a good thing and good for us as scripture relates. Prayer is a truly precious gift. When you consider that  God that created the Universe that is infinitely bigger than our minds can even comprehend,  God that created man so fearfully and wonderfully made, as scripture refers to us, this God longs to have fellowship with us, and prayer is the purest form of fellowship with our Lord. No matter what you may be facing, pray it through. No matter how long it may take, pray it through. Stand on your most holy faith and believe with every fiber of your being for divine intervention, and watch Him come and save you and redeem your life. In the end He will deliver your soul in peace from the battle that is against you (Psalms 55:18). On the other side of the heartache and misery you will be singing a new song of praise to our God because you remained faithful and prayed it through.

The grace of our Lord be with you all.

Words Of Inspiration | The Rock Of Our Salvation

1

Jesus Is Our Rock

Deuteronomy 32:4 – He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment; a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Dear Friends – May these words of inspiration encourage you today to hold on to the rock of our salvation, hold on to God’s unchanging hands. In an age where so much is being shaken let it comfort us that God is in no wise being shaken. He is the same yesterday, today and forever, still a rock we can stand on, a rock we can lean on, a sure path for our feet. When the very foundations of the earth seem restless and unstable, we can be assured that our God is very much in control.

And if we are assured that our God is still in control of His universe, we can be assured as well that He is still caring for all who are trusting in Him today. Scripture refers to God as the rock of our salvation, the rock of our refuge, our rock and our strong fortress, just to mention a brief few. He is our rock that cannot be moved by any storm. He is a Rock you can build your life on. If this Rock  is your foundation, though the storms  batter and beat against your life, this Rock will be your anchor. He will be your refuge and shelter, a strong fortress in troubled times. We can stand upon this Rock knowing He will hold us safely in His care. His love and the shelter of His grace and mercy will stabilize us in shaky times. So dear friends, if you’re on shaky ground today, if your life feels like it is on shifting sand, take hold the Rock of your salvation. Stand on His promises, trust in His love.  Let Him settle you and ground you in the life He has called you to live and bring stability to your circumstances.

Further, Let Him settle you and ground you in your relationships. Relationally, many of us are under attack. Relational issues that have gone awry can unleash an emotional overload for us in trying to handle things diplomatically when there is a basic schism involved that perhaps we are not even aware of. Psalms 94:22 – But the Lord is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge. Perhaps we hadn’t even considered how much we need His defense in our lives, daily and constantly. Scripture says the enemy is constantly accusing us, but Jesus ever lives seated at the right hand of God to make intercession for us.  We should all say, “Thank You, Jesus!”

But again, what about the folks living around us, the ones with whom we have to do every day? We are often in strife and contention with loved ones, perhaps more easily and with more emotion involved, than most of us want to admit. And yet, God stands waiting for us to ask for His help. He is right there ready to assist, especially when in our independence we have exhausted all our options, run out of new ideas in resolving familial strife and turmoil, or relational issues in general. Bottom line for me, do what you can and let God do the rest. That’s resting on the Rock my friends.

Beloved, God will defend us and be our refuge no matter what comes against us. When we make Jesus the Lord of our lives then no weapon formed against us will prosper. Make no mistake, weapons will be formed against us by various and sundry people and diverse situations. But scripture says that the Lord will rise up for us, He will stand up for us against the foe, He will be our help, a very present help in times of trouble. Again, we have to rely on the Rock of our salvation and trust He will defend us justly when needed.

Dearest friends – it is my prayer that these words of inspiration have helped someone to see that our Lord is always for us and not against us. He is always there to help, to assist, to encourage, and shine His light on our path. He is referred to in scripture so often as the Rock, and today with so much being shaken around us, perhaps we just need a reminder of how solid and sure our footing on this Rock is. Could it be that we have momentarily lost our focus, gotten sidetracked by all that is happening around us? Perhaps we’re looking at the boisterous waves rather than our loving Savior and how absolutely true and just He is? The storms will come, tempests will rage, but scripture says: For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18.

The grace of our Lord be with you all.

Words Of Inspiration | Broken To Be Made Whole

1

Psalms 34:18 – The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Dear Friends – These words of inspiration are written to the broken in heart, the crushed in spirit, the wounded soul seeking healing, or the captive soul looking for escape. Life is full of unexpected tragedies and often unspeakable pain, but our God is able to make something not just beautiful, but awe-inspiring, out of any circumstance and any life that is yielded to Him, no matter how broken it may seem.

All of us at one time or another need some encouragement when we are down.  Most of us need a little shove in the right direction, perhaps some type of motivation to move forward if we get stuck. But many can identify with the times in life when nothing seems to help. There are times in life when one feels almost paralyzed and powerless to escape or even survive an overwhelming situation. I believe this is why so many give up and walk away from God or walk away from life. I can bear witness to the depths of pain that stops ones daily activities and leaves one unable to cope without divine intervention. There are those times when only God can lead us out or bring us through.

The above scripture says God is near those that have a broken heart, and saves such as have a  remorseful or penitent spirit. My friends – It is hard to express in words how very near God is to those who have such a broken heart and broken life as we spoke of in the earlier paragraph. God always has a plan for His children to prosper, to learn and grow, to give love and receive love. And  as we  grow closer to Him we are given the wisdom to turn and help others in similar situations. To the life that is yielded to Him, to the soul that is trusting in Him, waiting patiently for His help and His way, He will be faithful to deliver you. He will come and save you and you will see the depths of His love for you.  Then like me, perhaps you can relate to the scripture Acts 2:28 -Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Friends, when you are so wounded in heart and spirit, when your life seems broken beyond recognition, that is when God can come and pick up every shattered piece of your life and put you back together, not just as before, but together the way He always knew you could be. He can put a life back together that is yielded to Him and trusting in Him in such a way that all things feel new. Perhaps you didn’t recognize your own life before because of its brokenness, but if you allow God to do a work in you,  through faith in His Son Jesus, you will not recognize the new life He creates in you because of its wholeness.

Consider this passage of scripture – Isaiah 66:13a,14a – As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you.

The grace of our Lord be with you all.

Words Of Inspiration | Even The Wind And Sea Obey Him

1

Peace Be Still

Mark 4:39 – And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

My Dearest Friends – May these words of encouragement speak to your heart today and reveal God’s unconditional love to you. May these words of inspiration open your eyes to the greatness that is our God. May you be lifted up in whatever area of  life you may be having a struggle by feeling the presence of Jesus in the very midst of the storm with you, and hearing His words echo ,”Peace, be still”.

I so love this passage of scripture in its entirety. Jesus had entered a ship with His disciples at evening time and they were going to the other side of that sea into the country of the Gadarenes, and other smaller ships accompanied them. Jesus, having had a long day of ministering and teaching the people, entered the ship and had fallen asleep on a pillow in the hinder part of the ship. Now the hinder part of the ship is the part of the ship that contains the rudder, an aspect of the steering mechanism.  I mention this to reiterate that Jesus was in control of the ship as soon as He was on board even though He was sleeping. And yet when a storm comes up suddenly, the disciples had to run and awaken Jesus to ask Him if He cared that they were all about to perish. Isn’t that just like our human nature? Don’t we respond to sudden storms in our lives just like the disciples did? After all, when the journey began, Jesus had said to them, “Let us pass over unto the other side” (Mark 4:35b).

So where in the events of storms in our lives do we forget Jesus’ words to us that He will be with us from one side to the other, in any and every circumstance? The first thing that will trip us up and cause us to lose focus is fear. Once fear has gotten a foothold, we begin to lose faith that Jesus can and will take care of us. And yes, I have even asked Him personally, “Master, carest thou not that we perish?” (Mark 5:38), at those times when I begin to focus on the raging of the storm and not on the anchor of my soul.

But, dear ones, He is faithful when we’re not. Just as He arose and rebuked the winds and waves and there was a great calm, so He comes to us in the most fearful, trying times with His, “Peace, be still”. We are at these times humbled by His presence, thankful for His faithfulness when ours has failed, and strengthened to continue our spiritual journey, hand in hand with Jesus. Once you look into the beautiful face of our Savior, fear is no longer an issue. You might have felt your life was pretty much over, perhaps you felt that God had somehow forgotten you, and for some reason He wasn’t going to show up this time. I’m sure somewhere in your spiritual experience you’ve heard the expression – He’s never there when you need Him, but He’s always on time. Well that’s our God and our humanness all wrapped  up in one little catch phrase – God shows up in His time and gets the glory, and we get the help.

So know today He’s a much bigger God than we can even wrap our little minds around. But if you will wrap your heart around His, He’ll do things in your life you never dreamed possible.  His love covers everything we may come up against or that may come against us in our human experience. He will be an anchor for your soul, and if you invite Him into your heart, you will hear His whisper, “Peace, be still”, in the midst of your every storm.

The grace of our Lord be with you all,

Words Of Inspiration | Keeping The Unity

0

One God | One Way

Ephesians 4:1-6 – I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called, 2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3 Endeavouring to keep the  unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Dear Friends – May these words of inspiration motivate you to take some positive action in your personal life, and encourage you in becoming mature in the Lord, learning how to live and walk in love, finding out what your individual gifts and callings are, and endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in whatever state you may be in. The 4th chapter of Ephesians is a particularly powerful and life-changing passage of scripture. It is a breath of fresh air to the soul seeking true wisdom and guidance in being not only the best they can be personally, to the glory of God, but allowing their lives to be used by God for the work of the ministry and to edify the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12).  It is a perfect expression of the love walk we must strive to achieve in our every-day lives. For there is but one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and is in every believer.

Thus, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit is not unlike striving to keep the peace. It is a labor of love, a work of the heart, and an act of selflessness when self would rather be in control. So be encouraged to mind the things that make for peace.  Let us lift our brothers and sisters up with compassion. Let us put their needs before our own and allow the light of God to shine through us to show others the way. My friends, it is an honor to be able to see the needs of others and be willing to assist them. For after all, all that we have and all that we are is from God, and apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). Once we have received a personal revelation of just how much God really loves us, and that His Son Jesus died and rose again to save us, it makes the benevolent spirit in us catch fire. Once it is settled in our hearts and we understand our individual gifts and callings, then having a spirit of servanthood is both praiseworthy and richly rewarding. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is peace.

Selfless service to others is not common today. It is not the norm to give and do for others without expecting something in return, until and unless you consider the sacrifice Jesus made for us, the ultimate sacrifice. He died that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Scripture says in Isaiah 53:5 – But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by his stripes we are healed. What a Savior and what a sacrifice!

So no matter what you may be facing today, my friends, God loves you and longs to fellowship with you. His word says if you abide in Him, He will abide in you.  As you open up to Him and receive that Love, open your hearts to others and let the blessings begin to flow through you. Reach for the things that make for peace, forgiving others as Christ has forgiven us, speaking words of love and kindness in difficult situations for scripture says a soft word turns away wrath. Again, dear friends, endeavour to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, and the grace of our Lord be with you all.

God Bless,

Words Of Inspiration | Weathering The Storm

1

He Maketh The Storm A Calm

Isaiah 25:4 – For thou has been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Dear Friends – The storms of life take many forms as most of us are well aware. There are the storms from Mother Nature, earthquakes, floods, mudslides, and yes, tornadoes as pictured above. There are storms raging in the economy and many are without jobs. There are storms in our personal lives, perhaps sickness, disease, emotional turmoil, relational collapse and family dysfunction. Yet in all these things there is but One God. And this our God is still on His throne, still in control of the world He created. We may live in a fallen world but we do not serve a fallen God.

When the psalmist David in the Bible was in much distress and turmoil he prayed a powerful prayer to the God of his salvation. He poured out his heart and every emotion to the God he knew was well able to comfort him and save him. In this prayer in  Psalms 55 he says if he had wings like a dove he would fly away and be at rest, he would wander far into the wilderness, and ultimately he would hasten his escape from the windy storm and tempest. That is an excellent description of how most of us feel in the storms of life. We just want to fly away somewhere, anywhere to get away from the perhaps overwhelming problems and distresses we are facing. Like David, we want to wander off somewhere, perhaps where no one can even find us, just hurry up and get past the pain somehow. Yes, these are human responses to “pit-dwelling” but let us not remain in the pit. Let us call on our God to save us and deliver us for we too know God is well able.

Beloved, God wants His people to dwell in peaceable habitations, in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places (Isaiah 32:18). We do go through times of upheaval, times of trials and tribulations, times of turmoil and unrest, but God is our rock and our fortress. He alone will see us safely through. He can make a way where there is no way. He did not say we would never face times of suffering and heartache, but He did say He would never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Whatever storm you may be in today, know that God is right there with you. Call upon Him in your time of distress for He will not leave you comfortless.

Scripture says in Psalms 142:3a – When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. If you are weathering a storm at this moment then take heart,  for God knows what you are going through and He knows that path you should take.  Let these words of inspiration encourage you to call on Him with confidence and wait patiently for Him to show you the path of escape.

The grace of our Lord be with you all.

Words Of Inspiration | Finding Stability In An Unstable World

2

Posted by Lynda Davis | Posted in Inspirational | Posted on 11-03-2010

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

The Planting Of The Lord

Isaiah 61:3 – To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

Dear Friends – Are you feeling unstable in today’s world? Are you being tossed about with waves of discouragement, disappointment, anxiety or fear? I write these words of inspiration and encouragement today to tell you there is a better way. There is a Rock that can anchor your soul. There is a constant source of stability available to you and His name is Jesus.

Acquaint now yourself  with Him and be at peace. For His love for us is unconditional and scripture says it is good that a man should both hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord (Lamentations 3:25). His compassions and His mercy are new every morning. We can trust His faithfulness in caring for us. We can trust His promise to deliver us and give us victory because we are more than conquerors through Him that loves us. Through faith in Jesus and His finished work we walk in victory right now. Believing Him and receiving Him allows us to live with a spirit of expectancy and hope in His goodness and grace.

Yes, my friends, God can give you His beauty for the ashes of your life. Think of all the implications that one verse of scripture carries. We can make such a mess of our lives, even with good intentions, and bring ourselves to a state of utter disgust when we finally realize things just aren’t working and we need a better way. If our focus is not on the Rock of our salvation we can quickly sink in turmoil and ever-increasing stress. So give God place in your life, allow Him to work on your behalf, and scripture says your gift (God-given) will make room for you and bring you before great men (Proverbs 18:16).

Take a deep, cleansing breath and allow yourself a moment to begin to meditate on all the blessings of your life. Our thoughts can keep us in the pit of despair if we don’t get a grip on the negative and begin a real soul search for the positive. There are overwhelming situations and circumstances in our lives but we must not let our feelings dictate how we approach solutions to these issues. God loves us and His word tells us that His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts; for His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). We often see ourselves in a negative light. We look at our frailties and failures. God sees our strengths and successes as His dear children. God sees us as all He created us to be, made righteous by the shed blood of His Son Jesus.

In our human experience we tend to view life as we see it or feel it. We allow our senses to have priority in our lives and thus we become sidetracked and discouraged in negative circumstances. We forget that God in all His loveliness has a plan for our lives that  is greater and higher and more fulfilling on a personal level than we can even imagine. So stand today, not on how you feel or what you can see in the natural, but stand today on His precious promises, be still and know that He is God.

My friends -If you are mourning and sorrowful He longs to comfort you and give you the oil of joy. If you are in heaviness and despair put on the garment of praise. Give Him your life today and become a planting of the Lord, a tree of righteousness, that God might be glorified.

The grace of our Lord be with you all.

Words Of Inspiration | Peace With God

0

May these words of inspiration encourage you today that Jesus is our Peace. He made a way to Peace with God through His sacrifice on the cross. We have only to believe it and receive it.

John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto  you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Dearest Friends – Having peace with God for many people seems an impossible task. It is so easy in today’s fast pace to forget that peace with God is a state of being to all who believe in Jesus and His completed work for mankind.  And the peace that Jesus left to us is not just a state of peace with God but an actual state of wholeness. This peace is not a matter of trying to obtain it through some formula or good works and deeds. This peace is free to all who will receive it. Just as we receive grace to help in time of need, and mercy from the throne room of God, so peace is given to us through faith in Jesus.

In Philippians 4:6-7 scripture says we are to be anxious for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving in our hearts, making our requests known to God, and in this we will have the peace of God that passes all understanding which will keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. It is a very powerful passage of scripture and yet we must not miss the simplicity in its understanding. For to humble ourselves and pray, to seek God’s face in any circumstance, to have an attitude of thankfulness before Him, and to receive great peace in return is most assuredly a cause for rejoicing.

Scripture goes on to say  in Romans 5:1 – Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. What a treasure to have peace with God!  The peace the world gives is unstable and fleeting at best. We remain fearful and troubled if we look to the world for everlasting and life-changing peace. But once we are at peace with God, once we have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, what joy awaits.

We must allow His peace to envelope our hearts. We must allow this peace to calm our fears and drive out our anxieties. Precious ones – you may be in heaviness at this very moment. You may be struggling with many of life’s perplexing issues, but look up and see our Jesus seated at the right hand of God, ever living to make intercession for His people, and know that you are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time (1 Peter 1:5).

Friends – Our God is for us and not against us. He promised He would never leave us or forsake us. Jesus came not into the world to condemn the world but that we might have peace and that the world through Him might be saved. His word says in 1 Timothy 3:16 – And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. And this He did because of His great love for us! Open your heart to Him today. Let His peace have rule and reign in your life. We are made perfect and upright by our faith and trust in Him and scripture says in Psalms 37:37 – Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

The grace of our Lord be with you all.

In His Love And God Bless Each Of You!

Words Of Inspiration | The Joy Of The Lord

Romans 8:13 – Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Dearest Friends – Today’s words of inspiration and words of encouragement are all about joy. How many of us are actually experiencing this “joy of the Lord” in today’s society? But never has there been a  better time in recent history when real joy, the joy that comes only from knowing God, needs to be put on display. It is a small word, three letters, and yet it’s implication in our lives, and especially our love walk, is huge. For it is impossible to have joy without first knowing in our hearts the true God and Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the cross.

There are things in life that bring a passing joy, things of this world, material goods, etc., but this joy is fleeting. When the new wears off the joy is usually gone as well and we are searching for a new and better experience. But true joy, the joy that comes from being yielded to the Lord, submissive and trusting, imparts a strength to us that will carry us through, when in the natural we may be tempted to collapse and give up. Scriptures says count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations, when numerous things come against you, or when failure seems your lot for the moment. For this trial of your faith is working patience in your life, and once patience has her perfect work you find yourself perfect and entire, wanting nothing (James 1:2-4).  It’s hard to grasp this concept until we realize that no chastening (Godly correction) for the moment seems a reason for joy but afterwards it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness (Hebrews 12:11). And is not this peaceable fruit of righteousness a most desired prize, a favored state of being.

Scripture says the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Meditate for a moment on that thought. Experientially I have found that just knowing God is for me, knowing He is fighting battles for me, knowing He is standing beside me at all times, absolutely resting in Him and His provision for me is cause for joy. It renews my energy, which in the natural may be running low. I may not jump up and go run a marathon but I can continue on my spiritual journey with confidence and Godly refreshing knowing I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).

There are seasons in our lives when mourning is appropriate and grief must be expressed such as the passing of our loved ones. There are times in our lives when sorrow and pain seem the only path when we find ourselves rejected or abused. But these are seasons only and with God’s help and the comfort of the Holy Spirit we must not remain in this state constantly, or for a very prolonged period of time, but allow God to carry us through to a brighter day.

We are a society of making excuses and passing the buck rather than taking responsibility for the condition of our lives. But I find every excuse falls away when one searches the Word of God, for in His Word we find grace to help in time of need. Scripture says the Lord will give us the oil of joy for mourning (Isaiah 61:3); we shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace (Isaiah 55:12);  they that sow in tears shall reap in joy (Psalms 126:5); A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it (Proverbs 15:23)! Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon my high places (Habakkuk 3:18-19).

So be encouraged today! Let the joy of the Lord be your strength. Anchor your soul in His care. Rest in His love. Wait patiently for Him and He will give you the desires of your heart.

The grace of our Lord be with you all.

In His Love And God Bless Each Of You!

Words Of Inspiration | What Wondrous Love

Open Thou Mine Eyes To Behold

Psalms 119:27 – Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

Dear Friends – These words of inspiration and words of encouragement are written today to proclaim  it is an amazing  time to be alive in the Lord. It is a glorious moment in the history of mankind. Look around you and take in God’s Wondrous Love to His people. There are so many distractions that draw us away from the rest our God calls us to, and yet His arms remain outstretched to us. His Spirit still speaks to our hearts and enriches our lives with the greatest and purest form of love. We have only to look around  us to see the many opportunities to share love with a hurting world. And what a Wondrous Love we have been given without measure.

There are three types of love given to us by God.  These include eros – physical love, philios – brotherly love, and above all there is agape – unconditional self-less love. God’s love for us is agape but God IS love and all love is of God.  To share God’s love is to share yourself, and to share yourself is to invest in another’s life, another’s turmoil, another’s pain.  To invest in another’s life is to become vulnerable, yet this should not deter our ministry of love and exhortation, for in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us (Romans 8:37). Yes we weep with them that do weep, but we also rejoice with them that rejoice. For you see,  to share God’s love is also richly rewarding in that we become a partaker of another’s joy, another’s miracle, and receive love and strength in giving of ourselves, allowing our God to work through us in meeting the needs of others.

God’s love is such a powerful force it cannot be contained in our self-made boxes. God’s love is such a river of life we cannot hold back the flow of it in any fashion. God’ s love is such a contagious, magnetic love that once we are acquainted with Him we can not help but to magnify Him in every area of our lives. Such beauty it creates in every aspect of our being, a transformation of the heart of man for which there is nothing to compare. And God is not willing that any should perish but that ALL would receive this love and eternal life through His Son Jesus (2 Peter 3:9).

Scripture says in Romans 8:38-39- For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39-Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Read and reread that scripture and let it be written on the tablets of your heart, commit it to memory. The scripture is an itemized list but the bottom line is that NOTHING and NO THING can come between us and the love God has for us.  If you ever have feelings that God does not love you, or that God has somehow forgotten you, do not receive that false notion, for God’s word proclaims He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

To always be conscious of this great love, the gift it is to us, and the unending mercy and glorious grace by which Jesus delivered it to us, dear ones, should encourage us to rise up and receive His love today. You are most special to God. You have a special place in this world. You are absolutely unique in your gifts and talents. You are absolutely unique in your circumstances, perhaps your needs or desires. Beloved, don’t throw away your confidence which has great recompense of reward (Hebrews 10:35).

God wants to use you and bless you in ways you would have never expected. He not only wants to show you this Wondrous Love and give you a personal experience with Him, He also wants you to let His river of life begin to flow through you, for only in letting it flow can you be an example of true love and it’s transforming power. Let His Spirit’s anointing in your life make you a blessing to others. Let your uniqueness and all that is “you” become a beacon of hope to those around you. There are people in your life and circumstances that only you can reach. Believe it, receive it and share this Wondrous Love in ways that only you can. If you live love by example you shall reap a bountiful reward.

The grace of our Lord be with you all.

In His Love And God Bless Each Of You!

Words Of Inspiration | On Hopelessness and Despair

The Desert Shall Rejoice and Blossom

Isaiah 35:1-2a – The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing…

Dearest Friends – These words of inspiration are to bless you today with a renewed hope in Christ. The words of encouragement are to motivate you to reach out to the loving and secure arms of God and allow His love and great grace to minister to you and renew your strength this day. If  you are in a desert place in life rejoice, for with God that desert place shall blossom as the rose. If you are in despair, turn your heart toward heaven and call on God. In Isaiah 33:2b God’s word proclaims He will be our arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble. Beloved, He will strengthen your weak hands and make firm your feeble knees (Isaiah 35:3). In the natural you may not feel the ability to stand in your circumstances. Your heart may be fearful in your desert place with much sorrow and sighing, but believe today that our God will come and save you. When His Spirit is poured out upon you your wilderness will become a fruitful field and the fruitful field counted as a forest (Isaiah 32:15b).

If you are feeling hopelessness and overwhelmed by despair, from my heart to yours, I stand in the gap for you and with you in your negative circumstances. My prayer is that these words of inspiration will reveal the truth of God’s great goodness and willingness to intervene on our behalf, and that you would come to know of a certainty that you can find grace to help in time of need through Jesus, our Lord.

Dear ones, it is always my intention to encourage and inspire, but to have an intimate relationship with God through Jesus, to know Him and allow His glory to shine through us, is a personal commitment, a personal choice each of us must ultimately make in life. I can only share the depths of  pain in and of my own life’s experiences with hopelessness and despair, and with what great grace He brought me out into the glorious light of His Love. It is a process, and a process that is often not without pain. For when we submit to God and allow Him to refine us and burn away all that is of no use to us in our love walk with him, this is often uncomfortable at best and perhaps painful at the very least.

There are moments of instant deliverance in circumstances. There are times a word comes from God, a rhema word, a fresh word from heaven, that changes everything and turns a bad situation into a glorious experience quite instantaneously. And I praise God for these “instant” moments of deliverance. But I know too that the greater the suffering, the greater the blessing. And for me it has been my experience that the greater the suffering, the greater the blessing; the greater the suffering, the sweeter the writing. So allow God to ransom you, obtain joy and gladness through Jesus today, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away (Isaiah 35:10b).
